Local jewelry designer Holly Couch has chosen Girls Inc. of Memphis as the recipient of her upcoming fundraiser. Couch, who lives in Collierville creates one-of-a-kind vintage pieces using Swarovski crystal, Czech glass, quartz, Bali and sterling silver. Her motivation isn’t money, but helping at-risk children.

“I absolutely love what I do and the idea of being able to express myself artistically for a meaningful cause is so exciting to me,” says Couch. “My goal is to provide opportunities for children to receive love, human kindness and tools to succeed in life.”

Couch donates a portion of her sales to various charities including Agape Child and Family Services and the Oasis of Hope. She says Girls Inc. is a perfect fit for her scholarship fund.

“I created this full scholarship specifically for an inner-city or at-risk youth who wants to go to college, but because of unfortunate circumstances never thought it would be possible.”

Couch is unveiling her fall collection at a shopping fundraiser on Sunday, September 7 from 2-4 p.m. The event will be held at Muse Inspired Fashion located at 517 South Main Street . Guests can shop at wholesale prices while contributing to Girls Inc.

“I am blessed with the opportunity to provide this invaluable tool for success,” adds Couch. “ This is a full scholarship and all I ask in return is that this person simply pays it forward as I have chosen to do.”
